Counting steps is boring. The Microsoft Band has an impressive array of sensors that lets you build applications that do so much more than tracking steps. You can track acclimatization during a run. You can estimate the size of a space. You can calculate the pace at which someone eats and act on it. You can record audio and add audio markers using gestures, change the playback speed, or even synchronize paging through a book that is being read out. In this session I’ll walk you through the code for all of these cool applications as inspiration, or maybe just for laughs. Regardless, it’s going to be a rather fun session.
